Early Era of Boston Celtics
The American professional basketball team which name is Boston Celtics who’s based on Boston. Boston Garden-Arena Corporation was formed the Boston Celtics on June 6 1946 and under the president of America the team in the basketball association. Boston earns the first appearance in the play offs in 1948 but not win that year. The team misses the playoffs and raise their fifth position in the Eastern Division. The team become the part of National Basketball team association after the BAA absorption. The Boston faces lots of struggles in the their early years. Then the Bill Russell era arrived and Russell take Boston to the finals and they defeat the Louis Hawks in seven games and makes the 17 championship record in which 11 championship was won in the appearance of Bill Russell. Bill Russel. In 1959 NBA Championship won by Boston by sweeping the Minneapolis Lakers who was the first up in the eight consecutive won championship. Lakers met the Boston in the final by five time and start the rivalry that has spanned the generation. Boston have the first team in the NBA who have American line up in 1964. 1969 Russell retired from Boston and ends the dynasty of 11 NBA titles garnered.
Boston Rivalries
One of the best and unexpected rivalries has been created between the Celtics and Washington Wizard. The first fight they faces each other in 1984. intensified rivalry between both Boston and Washington during the season in 2015 & 2016 during this Jae Crowder was given a technical foul and crowder exchange some kind of words with Wizard coach. Otto called the Celtics a Dirty team and Isaiah Thomas reliped to this as quoted if playing as hard is dirty the then we are dirty team.
Boston Season Wise Record
The Boston have lots of logo but the most popular is being Shamrock with the “Celtics” writing above it and this has been used 1998-1999 season. Before they used in the Zang Auerbach the logo based on Logos used by Celtics now in history shamrock trimmed in to gold.
