Eurovision Contest 2023 History


British national broadcaster (BBC) Produced the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 which develop and implement for live shows including Ukrainian and interval and opening acts. BBC studio entrainment production produces three shows which part of commercial subsidiary. 



Martin green is the managing director of senior production team and Rachel Ashdown and Andrew Cartmill as lead manager and producer. The head of show is Lee Smithurst and head of contest is Twan van de Nieuwenhuijzen.Main music and cameramen director Kojo Samuel and Nikki Parsons respectively.

Hosting Selection of Eurovision


Kalush Orchestra with the song of "Stefania" won the Eurovision contest 2022 in accordance with Eurovision tradition. By winning the 2022 contest EBU give opportunity again to Ukraine to host Eurovision 2023. Now Ukraine hosted the contest twice in a row. Ukraine chairman stated that they will host contest in a peaceful way and they hope to provide every participants safety guarantee. BBC stated that they looks the candidates who has protentional & set of demonstrate standards, capacity, capability to host the complexity. The stage of bidding process BBC have interest of expression from 20 UK cities and towns in which some are shortlisted as per below.

Finally contest 2023 was hosted in Liverpool, United Kingdom. UK hosted contest 8 times previously which is held in 1960,1963,1968,1972,1974,1977,1982,1998 and contest 2023 is the 9 for UK. Liverpool arena have large venue with 11k seatings and multi-purpose open doors. Liverpool also hosted MTV Europe Music Awards which was held in 2008, 2017 and also hosted World Artistic Gymnastics Championship.


Eurovision 2023 Participants & Winner




Thirty seven countries part in the Eurovision 2023. Bulgaria, Montenegro and North Macedonia cause to suspend the event due to economic impact of global energy crises. The winner of Eurovision 2023 is "Loreen" from Sweden with the song "Tattoo". This song was written by Jimmy "Joker" along with Loreen. After winning the contest they shows the Solidarity with Ukraine and due to this Britain stepped in to help the nation in war-torn. Loreen full name is Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui and also professionally know as Loreen, is a Swedish singer.
